The Hatchery Chicago has 56 commercial, food-grade private kitchens in a variety of sizes and configurations so you can expand as you grow. Each private kitchen comes equipped with:

Designated space in dry, cold & freezer storage area
Access to mop closet & cleaning supplies
24/7 facility and kitchen access
The private kitchens are move-in ready, making it easy to start production in a fully licensed space from day one!
Coworking Space, Meeting Rooms, & Event Space
The Hatchery Chicago has a dedicated space for tenants to conduct business outside the kitchen. Our coworking space includes a shared, open area as well as private conference rooms.
Coworking space in The Hatchery is currently only available to kitchen users. If you are interested in booking one of our meeting or conference rooms for a private event, please complete our event inquiry form below.
The Hatchery’s event space is available for rent and can accommodate 100-200 people. Hatchery Members are preferred vendors for food and drink with events held in our space.
Shared Kitchen User License
A Shared Kitchen User License is required for any business using a shared kitchen in the City of Chicago. Offer in both Long Term and Short Term licenses, it is a requirement in order to utilize, lease, or rent kitchen space at any licensed shared kitchen such as The Hatchery. Onsite Support and Access to Financing
Entrepreneurs have access to comprehensive, industry-specific support, including teaching and mentoring. Allies for Community Business, a joint venture partner and building owner of The Hatchery, is headquartered in the building.
Allies for Community Business provides access to loan capital between $500 and $100,000 to qualifying Hatchery residents and members as well as free, on-site businesses coaching.
