How We Accomplish This:
Free Classes for West Side Residents
The Hatchery co-hosts two tracks of free classes for West Side residents, in collaboration with the Industrial Council of Nearwest Chicago (ICNC):
1
Job Seeker Track
2
Aspiring Entrepreneur Track
Topics include:
Interviewing
Food handling safety
ServSafe Food and alcohol safety training
Certification exams
Select core curriculum offerings are free for West Side residents. Please check our events page for upcoming classes, and look for the Community icon to designate free classes for West Side residents.
ICNC’s Workforce Development Program
The ICNC’s Workforce Development Program helps place individuals into jobs with Hatchery Members and other food and beverage companies across the city. It can also place Community members in jobs in other industries. ICNC also helps employers find staff, create job postings, screen applicants, and much more.
