A casual brand can start a conversation with consumers, but it’s important to know where the line is. Moderated by Jenn Bane, the first-ever hire of Cards Against Humanity, a panel of marketers will share how to find the balance in provocation, set a likeable voice, and identify the appropriate target market for your boundary-pushing brand.

 

About the moderator:  

Jenn Bane is the Creative Director of M. Harris & Co., one of the fastest-growing marketing and communication firms in the Midwest. As the first-ever hire at Cards Against Humanity, Amazon’s best-selling game since 2011, she led viral campaigns and earned a Clio Award for Excellence in Digital Advertising. When she isn’t leading brands to marketing excellence, Jenn co-hosts a popular, feel-good advice podcast called “Friendshipping”. 

 


About the speakers:  

Andrea Hernandez is the founder of Snaxshot. Through her self-made Snaxshot digital universe, Andrea captures the culinary zeitgeist, manifests trends, and builds a new kind of online community. Born and raised in Honduras, educated at Northeastern, and armed with a decade of marketing experience, Hernandez has become one of the industry’s preeminent voices chronicling the evolution of a pluralistic, postmodern snack culture, from buzzy ingredients and packaging to newfangled trends like adaptogenic beverages and direct-to-consumer cannabis and CBD.

 

 

Morgan Santoro is the Marketing Manager at Uglies Snacks of Dieffenbach’s Potato Chips. With a Bachelor of Science in Marketing form Penn State University, Morgan has an extensive background in CPG food media, audio visual equipment, and wood specialty services.

 


Leslie Mohr
is the Vice President of Marketing at Barnana. Leslie is an innovative, entrepreneurial and accomplished Senior Marketing Leader with expertise in brand management, product development, and communications for mid- and large-size global brands. Leslie has seen success and has excelled in fueling new business strategies to yield growth in highly competitive categories. 

 

Kyle Hodges is the Minister of Propaganda at Dark Matter Coffee. A Hoosier native, living in Chicago with 20+ years in the entertainment business, Kyle has deep rooted marketing and public relations experience with a focus on disrupting the norm and testing innovative strategy for his brands. He is an expert on adapting traits that have allowed him to adapt both personally and professionally during COVID. He drives lead generation and collaboration for the brand. In his free time, Kyle enjoys cooking, digging for records, cycling and hanging out with his family.
