Malerie Ma Roddy
Malerie is a lawyer in Schiff Hardin’s Product Liability and Mass Torts Practice Group. She counsels clients in multiple industries including consumer home goods, juvenile products, and food and beverage. She advises clients at all stages of product development and sales, from pre-product launch to crisis management. Malerie is based in the Chicago office of Schiff Hardin LLP.
Rachel A. Remke
Rachel is a partner in national law firm Schiff Hardin’s Product Liability and Mass Torts Practice Group. She has established herself as a trusted adviser and an experienced trial lawyer, having counseled and litigated complex cases in both state and federal courts. Her work spans a variety of product liability and litigation matters, including consumer goods, construction equipment, industrial insulation materials, fire origin, and juvenile products. Rachel is based in the Chicago office of Schiff Hardin.
Thanh Bui
Thanh Bui is the Brands Corporate Counsel at the Kellogg Company. She joined Kellogg in 2012, and prior to that, she was Division Counsel at General Mills for 6 years. Thanh started her legal career at the firm of Leonard, Street and Deinard in Minneapolis, MN.
Thanh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Spanish from the University of Minnesota and a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude from Hamline University, School of Law, in St. Paul, Minnesota. Thanh specializes her legal practice in the areas of Food, Marketing, Advertising, and Promotions.
Lois Moss-Barnwell, MS, RDN, LDN, CDCES
Lois is the Regulatory & Nutrition Consultant for Diet Rx, Ltd. with extensive experience in both the food manufacturing and healthcare environments. Lois holds a MS in Nutrition & Food Science from NIU and a BS in Medical Dietetics from the U of I, Medical Center. She is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the American Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists plus similar associations. Lois provides nutrition consulting services to food manufacturers & ingredient companies, food lawyers, the retail food industry, corporate wellness, and related public relations/marketing firms. In these positions, she supplies nutrition subject matter expertise including nutrition label creation, recipe nutrition evaluation/review, education material creation and webinar presentations. Examples of employers/clients she has worked with are Barilla, Mondelez, Kraft, PepsiCo, Blue Chip Worldwide, Tate & Lyle, and Ingredion. Recently, Lois has added assisting food entrepreneurs with regulatory nutrition labeling support including Nutrition Facts, Ingredient Lists and Allergen statements.
