About the Presenters:
Philipp Schaffer, Pop-Tarts Senior Commercial Director
Philipp Schaffer is a strategic general manager with more than fifteen years of sales, general management, and marketing experience. Bringing extensive retail experience with both Aldi and Edeka (largest German retailer), Philipp joined Kellogg Northern Europe in 2014 as Northern Europe Process Optimization Manager. He was quickly promoted to Sales Director Sweden/Central Eastern Europe where he led the change of route-to-market in Sweden and drove positive business development. Philipp moved to the European Cereal Business Unit in Dublin in 2016, where he worked as Commercial Strategy Director. During his time in Europe, Philipp made a significant contribution to the evolution of the commercial strategy agenda, improving engagement and support to the cluster teams, and delivering incremental ideas to unlock growth in the business.
In 2018, Philipp relocated to the US to lead the Pop-Tarts business commercial strategy team. During his tenure, he has led the Pop-Tarts brand to unprecedented sales growth, successfully launching multiple new innovation platforms and optimizing price/pack architecture, supply chain, seasonal strategy, and revenue growth management. Pop-Tarts continues to be a key growth engine within the Portable Wholesome Snacks portfolio. Phil graduated from the Reutlingen University in Germany and has an MBA from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. He is also fluent in Spanish and enjoys travel and live music.
